The Food Made Good certification, awarded by the Sustainable Restaurant Association (SRA), evaluates businesses based on three key pillars: sourcing, society, and environment. It assesses factors such as ethical sourcing, energy efficiency, waste management, and social impact, ensuring that food businesses operate responsibly and sustainably.
By obtaining this certification, Aethos demonstrates a firm commitment to lowering its carbon footprint, reducing food waste, and prioritising locally and ethically sourced ingredients.
The Food Made Good certification is tied to the globally renowned 50 Best Hotels Awards, and Aethos joined other venues already holding this certification, like Potato Head in Bali, Paradiso in Barcelona, and the world-famous Aponiente, a 3-Michelin-star restaurant in Spain.
To be joining these locations is a significant step forward in our sustainability journey.
Aethos Mallorca is also set to achieve BREEAM certification, a key sustainability milestone, and the Food Made Good certification is only the beginning of the journey. Starting this journey in Mallorca will help to elevate awareness of the Aethos brand and solidify our commitment to sustainability in every location.
At Aethos, sustainability is deeply embedded in our ethos, and our association is committed to ensuring the highest standards in food and beverage operations. As part of this commitment, all our food and beverage operations in Sardinia will be fully certified by the end of 2025. This initiative reflects our dedication to responsible sourcing, waste reduction, and supporting local communities.
