Nestled at 2000 meters above sea level in the enchanting Ayas Valley, La Tchavana is a hidden gem that locals cherish, and visitors fall in love with.
This unique agriturismo, perched on the alp Metzan, offers breathtaking views of the Monte Rosa glacier. Founded in 1999 by Roberto Bagnod, a visionary from Piedmont, La Tchavana is a testament to his passion for pastoral life and sustainable agriculture. Roberto saw the magic and potential in this alpine pasture and transformed it into a haven where man and nature coexist harmoniously.
The old alpage was renovated to include a charming restaurant that serves fresh, homegrown produce. During the summer, animals from Piedmont graze the lush pastures, continuing a family tradition of nurturing livestock with the utmost care.
